Li Auto Launches 2026 i6 With a 96 kWh Pack and 780 km Range From 249,800 Yuan

Li Auto has launched the 2026 i6, the first annual update of the five-seat electric SUV that went on sale in September 2025. Two versions are offered at 249,800 and 269,800 yuan, falling to 239,800 and 259,800 yuan during the first-sales period that runs to 30 November. Li confirmed a launch price of 249,800 yuan for the standard configuration, with deliveries starting within a week.

A bigger battery at the same money

The core change is the pack. The in-house Lianshan 5C lithium-iron-phosphate battery grows from 87.3 kWh to 96 kWh, taking the rear-wheel-drive version to 780 km on the CLTC cycle and the four-wheel-drive version to 710 km. On a Li 5C charger, 10 minutes adds 500 km, and a 10 to 80 per cent stop takes 22 minutes at best.

  • Rear drive: 250 kW, 780 km CLTC, 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds
  • Four-wheel drive: 150 kW front plus 250 kW rear, 400 kW total, 710 km CLTC, 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds
  • Battery: 96 kWh Lianshan 5C LFP
  • Charging: 10 minutes for 500 km, 22 minutes for 10-80 per cent

Screen, chip and seats

Up front, the previous split dual-screen layout is replaced by a 29-inch 6K single panoramic panel, and the cockpit chip moves to Snapdragon 8797, which Li says is about 30 per cent more responsive. There is a 21-inch 4K rear entertainment screen on the options list, a 20-speaker 1,920 W system as standard with a platinum upgrade available, and an 8.8-litre powered cool-and-warm fridge with five-zone climate control.

Front seats are both zero-gravity units with ventilation, heating and 18-point massage, reclining to a maximum of 150 degrees with 16-way adjustment and four-way powered leg rests. Rear seatbacks adjust electrically between 115 and 140 degrees. Boot space is 728 litres, extending to 1,795 litres, and the powered electric frunk holds 71 litres.

Air suspension standard, plus a 1,280 TOPS chip

The four-wheel-drive update also goes to the chassis: double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension with CDC variable damping and dual-chamber air suspension are standard across the range, working with an AI magic-carpet preview function that reads the road ahead. Braking feel and steering response have been retuned.

Every car gets Li's in-house Mach M100 driving chip at 1,280 TOPS, a 128-line front lidar and 21 perception sensors, running the Mach VLA model with city NOA, highway NOA and space-to-space functions, with parking accuracy claimed at 5 cm. A 20,000-yuan option adds a second M100 chip, solid-state side and rear lidars and powered sensor-operated front doors.

Holding the price through an upgrade

What makes the update notable is that list pricing is unchanged while the battery, screen, chip, seats, storage and lighting are all upgraded and the suspension becomes standard. Two new exterior colours, Hyacinth Purple and Magnetic Blue, replace the previous Deep Space Grey, and the ADB matrix headlights now support cornering and glare-shielding with a claimed 243-metre high-beam reach.
